It took me all of five minutes of googling the intertoobs to find out who's behind this rash of bills..... Kansas and Arizona are just the beginning, folks. 38 states are being targeted by this template law.
Below the fold are the details. They're short, but sweet.
"Cornerstone in Idaho, the Kansas Family Policy Council, and the Center for Arizona Policy, which supports the bill there, are all part of a network of 38 state “family policy councils” pressing for these laws under the umbrella of Citizen Link, the advocacy arm of the conservative Christian powerhouse Focus on the Family. Citizen Link says its aim is to “help citizens understand and passionately engage in policy issues relevant to families from a foundation firmly established in a biblical worldview.”
Tom Minnery, executive director of Citizen Link, declined a request for an interview."
Wanna know who it is? I bet you do. I'll also wager you can guess in 3 easy tries.... aw, fck it.....
It's a Dobson op.

This missive is particularly cute. When asked if this was a template law, Julie Lynde, executive director of Cornerstone Family Council in Idaho, said:
“We are not following a template” but “we’ve been involved in working on the language” of two religious-freedom bills in Idaho.
The Conservative id in full bloom..... when asked a direct, simple question - one that the inquisitor already knows the answer to - they lie. They lie for god.
Well, there it is, kids. In black and white and on the web for all to see.
It is in fact a template law, they specifically claim it is not, ergo...... it is.
Now, go get 'em.
Be nice.
