This is a heartbreaking story that goes right to the center of our national debate over healthcare in this country and the gaping unmet needs the A.C.A. addressees.
That one of America's heroes from the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team could lose everything due to a health condition shows how financial ruin has been brutal fact of life in America for millions of families who have gone through the same wrenching desperation since those 1980 Olympics, and before.
The sad story of Mark Wells selling his 'Miracle on Ice' gold medalThat would be a safe assumption IMHO. Medical Bankruptcies have been a grim necessity for hundreds of thousands of American households each year over the past decade.
