[The following is a commentary by Rebuild the Dream President Van Jones...MB.]
Now is the time for us to stand against what could turn out to be a major climate and environmental atrocity.
With the recent release of the State Department’s final report on the Keystone XL pipeline (KXL), President Obama could be one step closer to approving this toxic project.
If approved, KXL would transport more than 800,000 barrels of tar sands oil daily across the U.S. from Canada to the Gulf Coast. And just to be clear: This is not oil. This is pipe-eating, planet-cooking, water-fouling goo.
There are still two days remaining in the State Department's public comment period on the report, which invites the entire public to share their comments and concerns about the pipeline.
Make your own public comment here. Or spread the word and share this video on Facebook or Twitter.
Here is the schedule for Thursday's upcoming blogathon diaries.
Noon: Senator Boxer
1:00 pm: catilinus.
3:00 pm: James Wells.

Keystone XL Pipeline "Public Comments" Blogathon: March 3-7, 2014
The public comment period for the National Interest Determination ends on March 7, 2014. We have a coalition seeking public comments to oppose the Keystone XL Pipeline.
You can write your own comment to post at regulations.gov. Or, you can copy from one of the comment templates available from the list below. It's preferrable to tweak the template a little with your own words so that it does not resemble a boilerplate comment.
Let your voice be heard by opposing the Keystone XL Pipeline.
The deadline for submission of comments is March 7, 2014.
