Hi guys! One of the things we discussed at the Barking Crab during last month's BosKos meetup (you know, the one with the snowstorm?) was ideas for our next meetup. Cambridge was brought up as a venue, and yeah, why not?
This is where those of you who know the area better than either GreyHawk or I do come in. We're trying to generate some ideas as to where to eat and what to possibly do after eating/imbibing.
Just follow the orange squiggly!
Here's are the Hawk Family general thoughts:
1. Make it on a weekend day. My only request is that I know enough in advance to ask for the day off from work.
2. Harvard or Central Squares would be the best bet for things to do...? Inman Square has a lot of funky restaurants, though. Ditto Porter. I went to school in the area and knew the restaurants back then, but not now.
3. What to do...? I'm thinking it would depend on the day we decide to meet to see if anything specific is going on. I know on select Sundays the Harvard museums offer either free or reduced admission. We could always take the T (or walk if we're inclined) down to MIT/Kendall if anything is going on there.
4. Then again we don't necessarily have to do anything. I'm betting we would have closed down the Barking Crab if it hadn't been snowing, so if we find a really good Kos-friendly restaurant we can just partake in food and words.
This is where those of you who know the area better than either of us do come in. Any recommendations/ideas/comments? Post them! Part of me feels like I n00b in asking this because I WAS so knowledgable about Cambridge at one point but wow...years go fast, you know?
Thanks, and I hope to see everyone there!
We're thinking either the end of March or April, btw...less chance of snow ;)
