If you ever wondered whether:
1. "pragmatic" Democrats are smarter in their contributions than the Progressive balancing test that I recommended in this diary), or
2. the new generation of high-tech winners have political wisdom,
the answers are clear from this:
expensive internecine battle between two Democrats. And because of California’s “jungle” primary rules that pit the top two vote-getters against each other in the general election, regardless of party, Khanna and Honda will probably square off twice.
That means major tech interests — and many loyal Democrats — are dumping cash into a safe Democratic seat in the expensive California media market that could be better spent elsewhere in the country.
More below, including Gavin Newsom's "leadership" in encouraging this waste.
Are established politicians any wiser?
Not if they are named Gavin Newsom.
Let's remember:
1. Newsom's wisdom and loyalty --
when the jockeying starts for the post-Jerry Brown era, and
2. all of that wasted Silicon Valley cash --
every time a Progressive or Democratic candidate outside Silicon Valley fails to receive sufficient funding to promote Progressive and Democratic policies.
