Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though. |
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. To join, read this diary and visit the Guild web site to put in an application. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
From MMO-Champion, we hear that Engineers aren't getting a new mount, but they are getting a new Blingtron.
Also, the next new character model to be released will be the female Draenei. People on Tumblr and Twitter were hoping that the new model wouldn't be as "oversexualized", to which I can only laugh bitterly.
With that, let's go to the raid reports. Here's Ninotchka with Team Kaels' and the Flex-o-rama report:
Over the past month or so, Team Kaels has taken a few nights out of our raiding schedule to work on the meta-achievement for Siege of Orgrimmar. Last Friday we finished it up. Well, five of us did. Not everyone got it, because of the vagaries of absenteeism or because some people don’t click on the buffs. Many of the achievements this tier are simple, but a couple of them are somewhat annoying. The most annoying is Mega Dinosaur vs. Giant Snail, although it’s a pretty hilarious achievement to complete. You have to wonder at the designer’s thought process in creating this achievement. “We have a giant dinosaur who kills you if it touches you. What could this fight possibly be missing?” “I know, a giant snail that kills you if it touches you!”
This week featured the very welcome Return Of Chanta, who is feeling much better now thank goodness. Snuffy welcomed her back with a new recount report macro –
Blame Assigned For Data Collected
1 Chanta 100%
The Flexorama team worked on Wing 3 this week, and managed quite the creditable showing. Special thanks to Team RubiPam, who gave us a much-needed gear and experience boost. Next week we will be attempting wing 4 with the flex team, which means I might to have to unearth my Klaaxi kill order cheat sheet unless I can con, er, convince someone who is used to calling kill order into coming along.

Here's Pamena with the Team RubiPam report:
Team RubiPam report, such as it is:
Yes, we are STILL on Garrosh. The other day in guild chat, Tvath and Bipolarbear were talking about looking forward to stomping Garrosh with Team Z, and then Tvath, clearly thinking she would indicate how hard the fight would be for them, said, oh yeah, we'll probably one shot him on the 64th pull. I wasn't sure how to indicate "hollow hysterical laughter" in guild chat, but I did my best. Team RP may have a special party when we hit our 100th wipe on Garrosh which I expect will happen tonight. However, we are making progress. Last Thursday, we had a couple of people out unexpectedly, so we nine-personed Immersius and Protectors - took a little longer than normal but no wipes. Then we needed to bring in a 10th, and after some shuffling around, Tay brought his priest in, only to discover that he had already killed Norushen and Sha on that toon - so we used his lockout and just went to Malkorok. Monday night, we were at full strength again, so we tried a new strat on Garrosh, 3 healing with Pamena going back to disc, and while it's not clear we'll have the dps for the last phase, things went more smoothly and we were consistently getting to the second round of little adds. Pamena was doing, with smite, about half the damage she has been doing in shadow, so we will work on it and see if that's enough. (I must add this is really a comment on how terrible my shadow dps is, not on how good my smite damage is.) I am getting awfully tired of this guy, I have to say.

That's all I have for this week.
For the Horde!
