I'm taking over this diary series at Kossack brainwrap's request, because he has to get back to his paying clients, as he explained on Monday. I welcome any assistance any of you may be able to offer. Brainwrap started the ACA Signups diaries to report what he was able to put together from all available sources, which he put into a spreadsheet and a graph at his ACA Signups Web site.
This Diary is mainly to let you know that this is happening. I'll get into the substance tomorrow, and try to catch up on the last three days while looking forward to the end of Open Enrollment and beyond.
Why, you might want to know, did brainwrap pick me?
I made the offer. Simple as that. I can grab the daily updates and media links, post any new numbers, and add a bit of commentary if I find anything else of interest going on. Let me know what else you want to see.
Numbers! I'm in withdrawal! I demand numbers!
The numbers are available every day at ACA Signups, along with brainwrap's updates as new numbers come in. Here is the summary from today. I will get into the updates for the last several days first thing tomorrow.
Private QHPs (5.35M - 6.56M) • Medicaid/CHIP (4.62M - 6.40M) • Sub26ers (2.50M - 3.10M)
Grand Total as of March 26, 2014: (12.4 M - 16.0 M)
Enrollment Period Elapsed: 96.7% • Est. % of CBO QHP Projection: 84.9% (or 99.0%)
Exchange-Based QHP Projection, 10/1/13 - 3/31/14: 6.52M
(OFF-Exchange QHPs are at least 558K, more likely 4M or more nationally)
