Phil N DeBlanc's quilt -- almost done!
Our friend, 2thanks (also known as William) is caregiver to his wife. She suffers from a host of autoimmune problems which have left her in very fragile health. She is so weak, she cannot carry a glass of water across the room -- no balance, no strength. William works long hours to support the two of them and to get her the medical care she needs.
On top of that, his sister has been very ill for a long time. She passed away in hospice just over a week ago. It was a peaceful death but still it is a great loss for William.
If anyone could use the support of friends right now, it is William. Please send him kind words, loving messages to be a part of his quilt. He will draw upon our love when he needs some extra strength. It is a great gift we can give this gentle man.
We are short 18 messages and $220 for this quilt.
Ann is making a daffodil for hopeful's quilt. When this block is done, we will assemble the top.
A community quilt contains messages from you, transcribed by me in archival ink on muslin. Your loving words become part of a colorful quilt assembled by me and my sister. William's blanket will be a great support to him. Never underestimate the power of kind words! They are an incredible force for good.
Daffodils for the backing of hopeful's quilt
It takes time and material to make a community quilt -- and it is our small living. If you would like to contribute toward the cost, here is a PayPal link -- or message me for an address should you prefer a check. $15/message is suggested but some give more to cover for messages from those who cannot afford to donate. All messages are welcome, regardless!
