Received this e-mail tonight from the Peace Team:
We have exciting news! Thanks to your valiant advocacy we now have
the first new cosponsor of S.J.Res.18, to declare corporations are
not people, since last year. Senator John Walsh (MT) has now joined
the people's initiative.
This is movement. This is the crack in the door we have been working
for. All we need to do now is pour it on and we can make this thing
happen, because they are definitely hearing from us.
Here are the action pages we need EVERYONE to submit right now.
1) Sponsor S.J.Res.18 & H.J.Res.21 To Negate Citizens United
http://www.peaceteam.net/...
2) Amend The Constitution To Declare Money Is Not Equal To Speech.

If we can get both Democratic senators in a state like Montana to
sponsor anything like this, there is no excuse why we can't get ALL
Democratic senators to step up to the plate. And if they were to do
so, they would literally mop the floor with the Republicans in the
fall election, for then they could go to the American people and say,
"Elect more Democrats so we can pass this."
And after you submit the action pages, please also take a moment on
the return page to watch the exquisite new opening sequence we just
posted from Citizens United, The Movie, where we are jumping all over
these issues.
This is our moment, folks. Please forward this email to everyone you
know, and let's really get this show on the road.

Here's some other good news regarding Senator Walsh:
http://www.greatfallstribune.com/...
U.S. Sen. John Walsh raised $946,000 over the first three months of 2014 in his bid to keep the seat he was appointed to in February, Walsh campaign officials said Tuesday.
That is a 62 percent increase over the Democrat’s fundraising efforts for the last quarter of 2013, a surge of cash that help Walsh keep pace with Republican U.S. Rep. Steve Daines, who is also seeking the seat, said Montana State University political scientist David Parker.
“That’s a big jump,” Parker said. “It begins with resources. People can’t hear your message if you don’t have the resources to get it out. Now people can hear his message.”
The boost is likely a reflection of Walsh’s new incumbency and having a good fundraising team, Parker said. Walsh campaign manager Aaron Murphy attributed it to a strong start to the abbreviated Senate term.
“In just a few short weeks as a U.S. Senator, John Walsh has tackled threats to civil liberties, he’s proposed responsible spending cuts, fought for jobs that rely on Montana’s clean air and water, and as the Senate’s only Iraq War veteran, he’s taken the lead on improving mental health care for combat veterans,” Murphy said. - Great Falls Tribune, 4/8/14
By the way, Republican Senators have been trying to stop Walsh from getting his legislation passed looking out for Montana's best interests:

An Oklahoma senator who last week blocked passage of a bill protecting the North Fork of the Flathead River from energy development says he’d consider an amended bill, such as halting development for 20 years rather than forever.
Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., also said Congress could transfer the land to Montana, and allow it to withdraw the land from development – but that would reduce the state’s share of federal “payments in lieu of taxes” to local governments.
“If Montana wishes to have provenance over the land-use decisions in the North Fork watershed, then they should also assume financial and management responsibility from the American taxpayer,” he wrote.
Coburn is one of three GOP senators – Ted Cruz of Texas and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania are the others – who objected last Thursday to passage of the North Fork protection bill, defeating a “unanimous consent” vote.
U.S. Sen. John Walsh, D-Mont., tried to gain the consent, which, if successful, would have sent the measure to President Barack Obama for his signature into law.
The bill, which has bipartisan support from Montana’s delegation, would withdraw 362,000 acres of federal land from energy development, in the North Fork watershed just west of Glacier National Park.
Cruz and Toomey ignored inquiries by the Lee Newspapers State Bureau as to why they blocked the measure. But Coburn provided a copy of a letter he wrote Friday to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., explaining his reasons and continuing his objection. - The Montana Standard, 4/7/14
We still have a shot to hold onto this seat and defeat Tea Party Congressman "Shutdown Steve" Daines (R. MT). Click here to donate and get involved with Walsh's campaign:
