I don't always agree with which candidates EMILY's List backs (Colleen Hanabusa (D. HI)), but this one I can agree with:
In 2004, I served as an organizer for the March for Women’s Lives – an amazing event in which over one million women from all over the country came together to stand up for reproductive freedom and women’s rights.
EMILY’s List was there that day, and ten years later, they’re standing with me and our campaign to bring change to Washington.
I’m honored to announce that EMILY’s List has put me on the list of candidates they are supporting in 2014.
Can you join other EMILY’s List supporters in donating $5 to my campaign today?
EMILY’s List gets their name from the adage “Early Money Is Like Yeast.” They understand the power of early investment through grassroots donations in campaigns like ours. They’ve helped elect pro-choice Democratic women to all levels of government and have dramatically increased the representation of women in our government.
But they aren’t just helping elect women – they’re helping elect pro-choice, Democratic women who stand up for women’s health and women’s lives.

A decade after the March for Women’s Lives, we’ve lost ground. Just last week, Republicans including my opponent, Republican Susan Collins, voted to block the Paycheck Fairness Act.
Last month, the Supreme Court heard the Hobby Lobby case about access to birth control. Sadly, Republicans including Republican Susan Collins voted to advance a bill to allow employers like Hobby Lobby to deny women access to birth control. It’s disturbing that we’re debating equal pay for equal work and access to birth control in 2014.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Will you join EMILY's List in supporting my campaign? Click here to donate $5 and show your support.

Being included in EMILY’s List for 2014 is a testament to the hard work we’ve put in together these past few months. Thank you! Let's keep moving forward.
Take care,
Shenna
