Here's a case where I read Fox News so you don't have to. If the election were held today Hillary would top Christie by 8 points. But remember folks, our country has such a hard-core group of Republicans that goes bonko at the very mention of the name Hillary that about 38% of our population would probably vote for a ham sandwich if that were the GOP nominee against Hillary. So we shouldn't expect to see Governor Christie's numbers get much lower than this even if he is indicted, convicted and doing his presidential debates in an orange prison jumpsuit. (snark alert! - Yes, I'm aware felon can not be president, That wouldn't prevent Christie from still getting 38% in head to head match up against HRC in polls - my point.)
A McClatchy-Marist poll yesterday, found Paul Ryan did best against HRC losing by about 10% if I remember correctly. See below.
Here's a link to the original polls results at Fox News Poll: Voters say Obama lies on important matters; Bush, Christie and Paul are top GOP picks for 2016. I had to manually retype this table, sorry for the screwy tabs, which don't seem to work in our HTML editor.

Dana Blanton did publish this interesting 2016 poll Fox News Poll: Christie, Bush and Paul are top GOP picks -- today -- for 2016.
With about 20 months to go before the Iowa precinct caucuses, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul lead the pack for the Republican presidential nomination. Meanwhile, former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton continues to hold a huge lead among Democrats, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesdays.
If the 2016 election “were held today,” the new poll finds Clinton would best Christie by eight points, and top both Bush and Paul by nine.
By a 54-42 percent margin, voters think Clinton is honest and trustworthy. Bush also has more voters than not saying he is honest by 49-33 percent. Voters split on Christie’s honesty: 41 percent say he is, while 41 percent say he isn’t. About one voter in five is unable to rate the honesty of Bush and Christie.
Lots more details in this poll. Ardent poll watchers will went to read both articles in their original. Also, a big block of questions in this poll are embargoed until 6:00 pm this evening.
8:58 AM PT: A McClatchy poll from yesterday shows Paul Ryan coming closest to Clinton losing 53% to 43%.
David LIghtman, of McClatchy reports Poll: Christie regaining, but Clinton trounces entire GOP field
Yesterday, a new McClatchy-Marist poll shows Hillary Clinton trouncing every possible Republican challenger.
The race for the Republican nomination is a free-for-all, with five possible contenders in a virtual tie. Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey, who was virtually deadlocked with Clinton as recently as December, has regained some political strength after stumbling early this year but remains far behind the Democrat.
“Hillary Clinton is jogging around the track by herself as far as the Democratic field is concerned. Republicans are all in the starting blocks,” said Lee Miringoff, the director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion in New York, which conducted the poll last week.
Clinton was the only Democrat in the poll. Among Republicans, former Govs. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas and Jeb Bush of Florida _ who last won their governorships in 2002 _ each were named as the top choice of 13 percent of Republicans or Republican leaners. Right behind at 12 percent each were Christie, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.
No one comes close to Clinton. Ryan does best, getting 43 percent against her 51 percent. Voters may see Ryan as “having a more serious policy focus,” Miringoff saidPoll: Christie regaining, but Clinton trounces entire GOP field
