More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Tiny marshmallow chicks and jelly beans? If so, why only in spring? Is it hormonal?

A furor over what the Topeka school district considers an honor has erupted after plans were announced for Obama to address a combined graduation ceremony for five area high schools next month an 8,000-seat arena. For some, it was the prospect of a tight limit on the number of seats allotted to each graduate. For others, it was the notion that Obama's speech, tied to the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Brown v. Board of Education outlawing segregation in schools, would overshadow the student's big day.

It sort of worries me since that dairy was posted.

First, do chocolate bunnies require Easter Resolutions? Oh, well.

I plan to start a petition to rename the website commonly known as "Salon" to "Saloon."

Every Saturday, this otherwise decent website pollutes the very electrons upon which it was built. Some idiot editor there is apparently a secret conservative christian who hates us agnostics and atheists. They have published illogical, irrational, and often, poorly written crap with the sole purpose of attacking us. For example, this week's article of delusional support, claims that we atheists have failed because we cannot disprove religion.

Excuse me? My reason for being and thinking as I do must include disproving a fairy tale based, irrational collection of stolen stories and make believe critters? Since when?

There is some solid writing in Salon, often entertaining sometimes informed and informative. But this religious war by their christianist editor against use atheists and agnostics is just bizarre. Which makes me wonder. . . What, and how much, is that editor drinking?

Unfortunately, many cannot be disproved, but  are a special form of nonsense, that which cannot be falsified. The fact that this makes them irrelevant to existence and reality is sadly beyond that group of adherents, as is the fact that this is argumentum ad ignorantum, a classical fallacy, known to be wrong thinking since before the start of the Common Era.

Why the U.S. government is 'trolling' jihadists on social media

He believed jihadist groups had been rattled by certain of the CSCC's claims -- in particular, that the victims of Islamic extremists were predominantly other Muslims. It was possible to tell when messaging had struck a nerve, he said, as jihadist leaders would typically respond "by putting messages out on the discussion boards saying, 'Listen, they're putting these lies out, don't engage them'."

  •  Yes (0+ / 0-)

I know that President Obama is black but I didn't know that he is also (yes) black. President Obama is also white. The question now is whether or not he is also (yes) white. Maybe I will find out tomorrow.

  •  As a 1/16 Native American (0+ / 0-)

Invoking the one drop rule, I noticed he was black right away. My 1/8 black friends are black every time they enter a store or try to make a major purchase. I glow in the dark so it's usually not an issue for me. But for browner people of color, it's always an issue. He's totally black, no need to repeat after anyone..... Or rinse and lather for that matter.
