More below the fold:
This month marks the fifth anniversary of the founding of the Wreck List. Yes, I forgot, but the medication is supposed to be helping that.

I like looking through these occasionally, to remind me of when I was a new and bad at this game as opposed to now, when I'm a jaded veteran that's bad at this game.
Seriously, though, it's been an awesome five years. I don't know what I would have done without you all. Special props to Dkosmama and our incredible officers for running this because I can't even. But thank you all, for being a better guild that I had dared to hope.
With that, here's the Team Kaels raiding report from Ninotchka:
OK. Why is it that I have time to write a raid report when I'm at work and sneaking away to the internet in the 90 seconds I have between the 9:00 and 10:00 meeting, but when I'm home on medical leave taking naps I just can't seem to find the time to do it? Don't answer that, my mind is a strange place. Anyhow, the flexorama and Team Kaels managed to raid this week and I'm here to tell you about it.
I wanted something easy for flexorama to ease myself back into running it, and our wonderful guildies obliged with a quick romp through wing 1 of flex. It was nice and painless, despite the occasional extra trash pull. Tvath dyed her hair for the occasion. We had too few healers then just enough healers. We pulled the Sha of Pride with a bunch of people being semi-afk and managed to kill it anyhow in one of the messiest kills I've ever been part of. Next week we're going back to wing 2, should be interesting.
Team Kaels managed to kill heroic Galakras on the last night that Ashblade was raiding with us, and we haven't killed him since. I was rather unsure about whether we still had the oomph to kill him again. Well, we managed it again last night, after a great evening of progression and relearning the fight. Each pull we managed to tweak one or two things and get just a bit further along. Usually. And on the last pull of the night we made it to the end, bloodlusted and powered through to a kill. Felt very good to have him dead again, although I really hope it gets easier because the second to last pull almost destroyed my will to live. I got a new hat that means I need to juggle tier pieces around, and Monomis got a killer staff. So good time was had by all.

And here's the Team RubiPam report from Pamena:
A Team RubiPam report:
I don't have a Garrosh kill to report, but we had a good week nonetheless. First, however, I must give a shout out to our warlock Lynera who's been in the hospital this week with a heart condition - when last we heard from him, they were running tests, putting him on a strict diet and medication regimen, but he expected to be back raiding with us very soon. Get well Lynera!!!
So, we have been missing Corwynn (out of the country on business - somehow we couldn't convince him that raiding with us at 2 AM his local time would be good for his work schedule over there) and Mageartin who was out on vacation for a couple of weeks. So, we have had a series of subs over the last 3 or 4 times we've tried Garrosh, but we've been making good progress on the fight mechanics despite the changing cast. Monday night, we had Mageartin back but were missing Lynera and Corwynn, so Tay and Carune came in to help and we very nearly got him - a 2% and a 3.5% wipe. SO close.
Several factors I think are responsible for our getting so close. First, the incredible generosity and support of our fellow guildies from Team Kaels - Carune, Tay and Snuffy have all come in to help us on several nights, and their help has made it possible for us to keep trying. It is just so wonderful to have their support and encouragement, both in subbing and in giving advice and suggestions to those of us who need help. Second, the amazing leadership of Rubidium, who not only runs our fights so well, but actually has been playing his shadow priest and his frost mage the last couple of weeks to try to come up with suggestions to help Pamena and Mageartin with our dps - and what a difference it made Monday night! Rubi gave both Pamena and Mageartin a pre raid talk with his ideas for us, and it was SO helpful! I still have a long way to go, but I was doing a bit better on Monday. Mageartin, however, made a big leap up in damage dealing and was simply amazing - huge props to Rubi (and others giving us guidance) and to Mage who took the advice given and just ran with it, baby! Finally, the perseverance of our entire team is pretty remarkable - we have not fallen apart, we have gotten down but we have not given up, and we have stuck together as a team of friends trying to conquer this fight. As a group, we've been willing to take ideas and advice from everyone who's supplied them, as we all just want to get better and get this done. I really think we're on the verge.
That said, tonight will be farming because Xoff will be out, along with Corwynn - Monday, we'll try Garrosh again, and the Old Gods willing, we'll get this guy in the next week or so.

Team Z had a week off, but we did some flex and I got to show off the DPS boost from my new cloak some more, as well as my utter incomprehension of the Spoils of Pandaria fight.
That's what I have for this half-decade. For the Horde!
