I must have missed something
Back in 2011, Pat Robertson derided Republican primary voters as extremists who are causing the GOP to lose elections by pushing candidates too far to right.
Today, the 700 Club host warned that the party is facing a takeover by “radicals on the right” who will nominate candidates who “aren’t capable of beating the Democrats.”
Of course, the Religious Right movement spearheaded by televangelists like Robertson has been one of the forces moving the GOP toward the conservative fringe.
Pat Robertson wondering about extremists taking over the party?
Dear god just where has conservatism gone?
Before long, the candidates the Republicans put out aren’t capable of beating the Democrats and so the Democrats laugh all the way to the ballot box and beyond.
Before long? On what planet has he been living? They have been a laughing stock ever since the words "Birth Certificate" came out of their mouths, before that they were just nuts.
Now if they have got nuttier than Pat who has come out with some gems of stupidity himself:
''I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags in God's face if I were you, This is not a message of hate -- this is a message of redemption. But a condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It'll bring about terrorist bombs; it'll bring earthquakes, tornadoes, and possibly a meteor.''
—Pat Robertson, on ''gay days'' at Disneyworld
''There is no such thing as separation of church and state in the Constitution. It is a lie of the Left and we are not going to take it anymore.''
—Pat Robertson
Now if the crazy old brigade are finding the new brigade radical, wow are we in for a shit storm of crazy.
I have thought conservatives to be pretty batshit for a while now, it's weird to find a crazy old man finding that they are even more insane than I ever imagined.
Wow, and I mean really do mean wow.
