Polls close at 7:30 PM ET in North Carolina and Ohio. Indiana is also holding its primary, but there's nothing interesting on the statewide or federal level. Our
guide to tonight's key races can be found here. We'll be bringing you the results as they come in. Remember that if no one clears 40 percent in a North Carolina primary, the top-two vote-getters advance to a July 15 runoff.
Results: North Carolina | Ohio
4:35 PM PT: Indiana legislature: Polls have been closed in the Hoosier state for about half and hour. While there aren't any statewide or House races to watch, there are several interesting legislative primaries. SouthernINDem gives us a rundown here.
4:37 PM PT: Ohio legislature: While OH-14 looks like the only potentially competitive House race in Ohio, there are also a number of interesting legislative primaries. Check out js18's guide here.
4:42 PM PT: NC-Sen: We're getting our first smattering of votes in from the state Board of Elections. With less than 1,000 votes counted, Some Dude Edward Kryn leads Some Other Dude Alex Lee Bradshaw by one vote. Don't expect this to hold.
4:45 PM PT: NC-Sen: Via the AP, about 1 percent of votes are in statewide, and Tillis leads Harris 45 to 23 percent. Remember, Tillis needs at least 40 percent plus one vote to win the nomination without a runoff.
4:48 PM PT: NC-Sen: About 10,000 votes counted statewide, and Tillis is at 48 percent. Needless to say, still very early.
4:53 PM PT: OH-14: About 2,000 early votes counted, and GOP Rep. David Joyce leads primary challenger state Rep. Matt Lynch 63-37.
4:55 PM PT: OH-14: Another thousand early votes in, and Joyce continues to lead 63-37.
5:00 PM PT: NC-Sen: The state Board of Elections has jumped ahead of the AP for now. With about 16 percent of precincts counted, Tillis is at 47 percent, far ahead of Bannon's 24.
5:11 PM PT: The SBOE remains ahead of the AP in vote counting, but there's some weirdness. The SBOE claims 37 percent of precincts are with about 70,000 ballots in. There were 370,000 votes cast in the 2010 primary, so it's very unlikely we're at the 37 percent mark. There are also huge disparities between the SBOE and AP counts.
5:13 PM PT: OH-14: Close to 7,000 votes counted (most early) and Joyce leads 65-35.
5:14 PM PT: NC-02: The SBOE has about 5,000 votes in for the Democratic primary, and Clay Aiken leads Keith Crisco 49-31. Over in the GOP primary, Rep. Renee Ellmers has a surprisingly weak 60-40 lead over underfunded challenger Frank Roche.
5:18 PM PT: NC-Sen: Big jump in the SBOE numbers, but Tillis remains in the lead with 46 percent. He's looking good to avoid the runoff.
5:20 PM PT: NC-02: Rep. Renee Ellmers continues to post a weak 56-43 lead over Roche. Roche barely spent anything: A stronger challenger may have unseated Ellmers.
5:21 PM PT: NC-03: Only about 3,000 votes counted but Rep. Walter Jones only has a 48-47 lead in the GOP primary against Chad Taylor.
5:23 PM PT: NC-06: Unsurprisingly Phil Berger leads in the GOP primary for this open seat race, but at 34 percent it looks like he's in for a runoff. Pastor Mark Walker is in second with 25 percent, far ahead of Bruce VonCannon's 11 percent.
5:25 PM PT: NC-07: In the GOP primary for this open seat, 2012 nominee David Rouzer leads Woody White 55-39. Rouzer almost won this seat against retiring Democrat Mike McIntyre and should have a far easier time in the general if he wins tonight.
5:26 PM PT: NC-12: In this safely blue district state Rep. Alma Adams leads all comers with 45 percent. State Sen. Malcolm Graham is far behind with 23. Early but Adams looking good to win outright.
5:29 PM PT: NC-Sen: More votes are in, but Tillis remains at 46 percent, far ahead of any opponents and six points over the runoff threshold.
5:30 PM PT: NC-03: About 10,000 votes counted and incumbent Walter Jones now has a 54-41 lead over Taylor Griffin.
5:32 PM PT: NC-06: Berger maintains his lead with 34 percent. Surprisingly, Mark Walker is in second with 25 percent.
5:33 PM PT: OH-14: Election Day votes are coming in and Joyce continues to lead 63-37.
