The Minneapolis Star Tribune ran a front page story in last Sunday's paper on how MN's most awkward politician has some sort of career choice to make. Michele Bachmann leaves Congress under the cloud of multiple investigations into wrongdoing in her failed presidential campaign. She's doing a lot of speaking, including boring tens of thousands of Liberty University students with repetitive rants about an Iranian bomb.
The 35-minute foreign policy speech Bachmann delivered at Liberty University one recent sunny morning was her 59th speaking engagement in 16 months. She plunged into so much detail — twice mentioning that Iran has 19,000 centrifuges — that near the end, some students at a university known for its political activism slumped in their bleacher seats, fidgeting with their phones.
We can't help but look at the spectacular wreck, but it's hardly news.
Just a quick question for Kossacks - why haven't we heard more here about Sartell Mayor Joe Perske, the DFL endorsed candidate to replace Michele Bachmann?
We should make sure that Joe Perske has the full support of the netroots in the contest against Emmer!
