Long day ahead tomorrow, and I'm cutting back on how much time I have for diaries (will have one tomorrow with video and some content from the week) but this comment from Representative Huelskamp rivals so much of the conservative twitter idiocy this week.
Uh, TIm.. I thought you were opposed to forcing businesses to do things they found immoral.
And how is saying you don't allow open carry in a restaurant the same as shutting down free speech.. or even any sort of attack on the right to .. oh never mind. It's too ridiculous. Below the fold is a cat picture.
Tomorrow, May 22, I'll be in Wichita doing interviews with:
Thomas Witt, director of the Kansas Equality Coalition, who fights for LGBT rights here in Kansas. We worked with Tim on the rally against House Bill 2453 in February.
That afternoon, The Women for Kansas are holding an event in Wichita. If you are in Wichita (and a woman, of course) I encourage you to see about attending or signing up with them.

Representative Gail Finney and I will meet in the afternoon to discuss the realities of Kansas, following up on our "What Happened to Kansas" documentary we are working on. Thank you to Representative Finney for opening her offices.

Finally, we go back to Women For Kansas for a roundtable discussion about Women's issues in Kansas, and how women can become both more active and a bigger voice.
Because I have the day already mapped out, I will miss another big happening, as Margie Wakefield will officially file and declare her candidacy in Kansas.

Thank goodness for KS Kossacks and crew, who are helping to make sure I have video of that as well.
This is memorial weekend, and so there will be a lot of town parties, parades, class reunions, summer celebrations going on. If you're a teacher, it's a perfect time to wear your red and explain what you want to do for Kansas.
I'll be back Friday before we prepare to go to Riley, Pottawatomie and Saline counties Sat/Sun/Mon.
I'll see if I can cutup video/diary for Friday to post how this is all going.
Have a good night friends. The campaign kickoff for some of the big races in our state really gets underway tomorrow.
