And in the Oklahoma Congressional District 5 we have one... No incumbent! Just one, all the other seats , and the two Senators...

Are Republicans...!

This wasn't fair in the 13 Colonies before the American Revolution, and it isn't fair today, in Oklahoma.

Join me in supporting Tom Guild, a Democrat, for Congress in Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District..

And send money!
Donate! NOW!

ALL Oklahoma Democrats are disenfranchised at the national level, as there is NO Democrat from Oklahoma in Congress. This is due to outrageous gerrymandering which has divided Democratic constituencies in a precise manner so as to allow a Republican to be elected in all 5 Oklahoma House Districts, so ALL of Oklahoma's Democrats are silenced...

But fortunately there is someone who has been out there working in the fields, working the vineyard, he is Tom Guild, a teacher, a scholar, and a man who asks really good questions!

Central Oklahoma needs another voice, women, minorities and just plain folks need a Representative, not every voice should sound like the Chamber of Commerce... There are other needs in the State, beyond insuring the free making of money!

Now I know there are some other Democrats out there who would like to get an "at bat" here, a State Senator, other who are committed Democrats... But Tom Guild was our nominee in 2010 and 2012, running the good fight against long odds, and an incumbent, Rep. Lankford, and Tom should be our nominee this time as well!

Tom's reputation and name recognition, I believe, give him the best shot of any OK Democrat to be elected to Congress from the reddest of states. There's a whole passel of Republicans, who've announced, it is my fond hope that they will have an expensive donnybrook over the next four weeks. and that Democrats unite behind a good man who has been doing a lot more for Central Oklahoma than just sittin' it out, he's been fightin'!

Thanks for listenin'! Ya'll be good!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
