Even as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and his campaign publicly claim that repealing Obamacare is "unconnected" to the fate of his state's popular Kynect health care exchange, his campaign manager sends out a fundraising email saying that McConnell "has promised to repeal every part of this disastrous law."
McConnell and his campaign are giving his Democratic opponent Alison Lundergan Grimes an open-and-shut case that he's trying to have it both ways on repealing Obamacare and Kynect. But it's not a case that will make itself. McConnell's position might fall apart under scrutiny, but in the absence of that scrutiny there's no reason to think it will fall apart on its own.
