Below the fold are my reports of just a few shootings that have occurred during the past several days.
My list, however, is far from complete because, if today is an average day, 277 Americans will be shot by a gun. And 84 of those shot will die. The story will repeat itself tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that, and on and on and on.
Help stop this daily carnage.
Let your voice be heard.

In the spring of 2013, just months after the awful Sandy Hook shooting, a lobbyist for an NRA chartered organization in Wisconsin said gun-rights proponents need only wait-out the “Connecticut effect” before they could once again start passing laws to loosen restrictions on guns. That lobbyist felt certain we would eventually forget what happened at Sandy Hook, and then any interest in common sense gun laws would vaporize.
We need to let that lobbyist and the NRA know that this time is different. This time we are not going away. We are not going to forget Sandy Hook, or Aurora, or Columbine, or Virginia Tech, or Tucson, or Isla Vista, or the 100,000 Americans who are either killed or wounded by guns each year.
Help make the U.S.A. a safer place. Call, write, email, or FAX your representatives at your state capital and in Washington, D.C. and tell them to support common sense gun control. Do it today. And do it again next week. And do it again every week after that until they get the message.
