"I don't hate or judge, but homosexuality is a sin..."
That sounds like a judgement to me.
"I'm sorry, I didn't make the rules..."
Oh that's right, you aren't responsible for your opinions.
Here's the thing. What I do is none of your business as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else or infringe on anyone else's freedom. If you want to believe that God told you homosexuality is a sin that's absolutely fine. But you don't get to tell me what to believe, or limit my freedom to love whoever I want and you don't get to pass laws that do that either.
My religion tells me to love as many people as possible and to live with joy. My religion also tells me to take responsibility for my own thoughts and actions and no one else's.
I don't seek a world without morality, I seek a world with justice. And I seek a world where we all decide, together, what that is.
We have to start taking responsibility for how we treat each other.
My faith tells me this is possible.
Maybe rant was too strong a word.
