'It's a living'
The news that former senator and apparently perpetual candidate Scott Brown got $1.3 million in stock to "advise" a peculiar company named Global Digital Solutions
is very, very funny.
It was founded as a beauty supply company in New Jersey — selling hair spray, conditioners, and shampoos, before reinventing itself as a wireless data firm from California and then again last year as a South Florida-based firearms maker and gun technology innovator. [...]
Accountants said in interviews that Global Digital’s filings raise a number of warning signs for investors, including its varying business model and lack of actual products. [...]
A reporter who went to the address Friday found the company was not listed on any building directory. A receptionist in the suite listed as the company’s address told a reporter: “They’re not here. It’s by appointment only.”
So a company that hasn't been able to decide whether it's selling hair spray, the internet or firearms and that was founded in one state before claiming extremely sketchy residency in another(s) wanted famous political carpetbagger Scott Brown's advice on how to do things like that.
C'mon, you can't make that up. That's golden, right there.
1:53 PM PT: Aww, and now he's resigned from the company. Hope he at least got some tactical wireless hair gel for his troubles.
