The editorial in today's online edition of the New York Times, NOT America's most liberal paper, states that the angry incredibly overblown and organized response - the "demonizing" to the Sgt. Bergdahl hostage swap shows the hypocrisy of the Republican Party and the American right overall...

I am quite surprised by this good sense and candor from The Times, but I could not agree more.
I think, as others here have stated before, the GOP has really hurt itself with this lie - again - and if anyone will gain pre election points from this yet-another-phoney-outrage tactic, it will be the Democrats....which is only right.
The GOP and the Right have nothing to offer anyone who is not extremely rich and morally bankrupt, and have played this anger card far far too often...simply because this is all they have left to do. This organized action almost assures they will lose seats in congress, and they are already appear to be losing several governorships from GOP "leadership"...this will help the Democrats along. All we need to do is to vote in November, support DEMOCRATIC candidates and not play ego games with the November election. This is as important as 2016. A GOP defeat this fall would mean a lot to which ever Democrat wins the presidency and will mean a lot to our country before and after it.
Please vote Democratic.
