After giving the matter considerable thought, the National Rifle Association (NRA) has decided to correct its original "discouragement" of folks carrying assault weapons into family restaurants ...
The NRA does indeed support 'Open Carry'.
Open Carry: You Got em, then you Carry em, anywhere and everywhere you go.
It's not 'weird behavior' -- we were mistaken about that.
No smoking zones -- are for schools and offices, Not Guns.
The NRA supports 'Stand your Ground' laws, too.
Stand your Ground: There is no Duty to Retreat.
If you have a reasonable belief of fear of great bodily injury or death, then you're allowed to respond to that with deadly force.
If you feel, think, or simply 'believe' some Open Carry person you meet in the street, has 'bad intent', well then you are allowed to respond. Respond in kind. It's the Law.
AND as the executive VP of the NRA has instructed a tearful and fearful nation:
"The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun."
SOOO, if you're 'afraid' of that scruffy guy carrying an AK-47 or two, into your local Walmart
-- well get yourself some "arms" (Walmart has them too, at low, lower, the lowest price around).
If you're a 'good guy' (or 'good gal') -- you should get yourself some 'good guns' to prove it.
Don't Live in Fear -- it's your free choice. Whether YOU CHOOSE to live brave America's streets in Fear -- or well-Armed. It's up to you.
Gun dealers and manufacturers are standing by to take your E-Z orders!
Quid-Pro-Quo.

Any questions?
In case you missed it, that was the NRA's Pretzel Logic case (more or less) made by satirist Jon Stewart:
MUST-SEE: Jon Stewart blasts the Open Carry Texas movement

Many great thanks to Jon Stewart for the "NRA deconstruction" road map.
and to DailyKos' BruinKid, for his dedicated and tireless work, to bring us those value-added transcriptions.
Well done, to the two of you.
Much obliged.
