Is it against the site rules to question someone's integrity and good faith?
I ask because I've seen this charge leveled at myself and others so often that I've lost count. In some instances the accusers were some of the same individuals who are currently expressing outrage at the idea that a front pager could suggest such a thing.
I don't recall ever seeing where anyone has apologized for, or retracted such accusations. Nor am I aware of any instance where anyone has been sanctioned by the site admins for accusations of bad faith, whether implicit or explicit. If it has happened, it must be a vanishingly rare occasion compared to the profligacy with which the charge has been thrown about.
So for everyone who is banging the drum over presumed selective enforcement of the rules and preferential treatment; can you cite where anyone has been sanctioned for the suggestion of bad faith and/or dishonest argument? Not shillery, sock puppetry or trolling mind you, but bad faith and/or dishonest argument.
Are you arguing from precedent, or to set a precedent? If the latter, why in this particular case and no other?
