A woman living in GA was jailed on an outstanding warrant for violating probation years before, in Alabama. She knew nothing of the warrant or even the charge, and neither did any judge in Alabama...the charge came from a private probation company, who the woman had been assigned as a probationer years before till her fines and court costs for a DUI were paid. The probation company then charged her for their services, something she says she was not aware of...and when she did not pay, they simply wrote a probation violation charge on their own, with no hearing or judge involved at all, and without the woman's knowledge.

It seems the public sector of American society is abandoning any idea that they have a responsibility to citizens...or am I behind the times and that is long established...
