Citing the increasingly vociferous political partisanship in the US which is causing paralysis in the governance of the country and is also denying Tea Party participation in the country's administration, two senior Iraqi MPs today called on US President Obama to step down so that a new administration and cabinet which would include both the Republican Party and the Tea Party could be formed.
When asked if it was too late for the current US administration, one high ranking Iraqi official said: "There is very little that can be done to overcome the degree to which the government of the United states has failed its people. That is what has caused this problem."
Armed militias have been exploiting deep resentment among America's bloated white self-important Christian bigots, who have long accused Mr. Obama of discriminating against them and monopolizing power.
In an effort to temper this call for President Obama to relinquish power an Iraqi Foreign Ministry spokesman has stated "This is not so much about President Obama's failures as it is about the legitimate needs and desires of all the people of the United States."
The Iraqi Ambassador to the United States and a senior official from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs have met with leaders of the Republican Party and the Tea Party. Following this meeting a senior political adviser to the leaders of the Republican Party said "The Iraqi diplomats were open about this: they do not want Obama to stay."
The Ambassador is scheduled to have meetings with members of the Democratic Party tomorrow to urge them to back the establishment of a unity government.
In an analysis published today by the Baghdad Times it was noted that Obama had been working to co-opt the key institutions that had been left behind by former President Bush and had been consolidating power in the government along nakedly partisan lines.

You are absolutely right, they wouldn't.

All of the above are excerpts, with some editing, from articles I've read in the past two days about attempts to put pressure on Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki to resign.
I wonder, how many will completely miss the point and get their knickers in a twist?
