The Cheney & Cheney Family Comedy Team of senile Dick and stupid Liz are BACK!
The team's latest collection of jokes recently appeared in The Wall Street Journal. Their stuff, no doublt, was inspired by everything that is being said about THEM after none of what THEY told us about Iraq has turned out to be true...things like: Saddam had nukes, rockets capable of hitting the U.S., the invation would look like the ticker-tape parade of the Boston Red Sox team after winning the 2013 World Series, that Iraqi oil money would pay for a war which would last less than a year and that Shi'ite and Sunnni Arabs were kissing cousins just waiting to be free from under the yoke of Saddam so they could have a love feast. Having little desire to own up to this long list of their own failures, this comedy team has turned their pen to writing that it is Obama for whom it must be said, “Rarely has a U.S. president” - not Bush, Jr. - “been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many.” Plagiarism and historical revisionism is always good for laughs! Right? So clever they are!
It is even more hilarious how they cleverly ignore that it was senile Dick's boss, Bush, Jr., who signed the Status of Force Agreement which set in motion the timetable to pull all troops out of Iraq by 12/31/2011 and that President Obama was just obeying international law and the wishes of the Iraqi government when he pulled them out 13 days early. Of course, poor naive Obama could not imagine how important those 13 days were to the Bush/Cheney scheme of things. Funny! Right?
This inspired the comic riff that went like this: because Obama brought the troops out 13 days early, he – not the Bush/Cheney administration – has to be held accountable for the Reuters press release that day, which read in part: “Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's Shi'ite-led government still struggles with a delicate power-sharing arrangement between Shi'ite, Kurdish and Sunni parties, leaving Iraq vulnerable to meddling by Sunni Arab nations and Shi'ite Iran.”
Isn't that exactly what is happening today? But isn't that amazingly comedic that after 8 years of the Bush/Cheney control of Iraq and all the wonderful things that resulted from it, all that good could be undone be Obama “abandoning Iraq” 13 day before senile Dick's boss would evidenly NOT have “abandoned Iraq” 13 day later!. Side-splitting humor!!! Right? Sovereign nations acting like sovereigns. How wrong-headed is that, if the nations in mind happen not to be the U.S.!!!! Side-splitting funny!!!!
What is really funny is how the no nanny-government policy (when we are talking about domestic issues) so easily morphed into an American nanny-government for the whole world under the hand of this comedy team! According to the Cheneys, Obama should have disavowed the Bush SOFA, returned Paul Bremer to Iraq Viceroy and kept our occupation forces in place for however long it would take to bring an end to the religious schism that has roiled Muslims since October 680 the origin of the Shi'ite sect. Our dead warriors require the risk of more of our dead warriors to bring peace to Iraq ...I guess, because we are more in debt to Iraqi families than to our own mititary families? How funny is that! Ha! Ha!
What is American exceptionalism if not the belief that we are the indispensable nation possessed with all it takes to resolve any conflict anywhere in the world that our military can parachute into if everyone would just obey!!!. America, uber alles!! Has a familiarly funny ring. Right?
Holding the best to last - what would a comedy routine be without invoking the name of St. Ronald – who thirty years ago showed the world how to deal with problems in the Middle East and terrorists by illegally (14 Reagan administration officials indicted) trading guns for hostages held by Iran, sending 241 Marines to their death at the hands of suicidal bombers in Beirut and then boggying out of Lebanon under cloak of darkness to invade Granada because the Cubans might be a threat to world peace! How FUNNY is that!!!!
