The simplest message is always the best. Forget nuances like "closely held corporations." The Hobby Lobby Decision is terrible -- but it's an opportunity to further motivate women (and men) to get out and vote this year and destroy the midterm Democratic low turnout patterns.
We have already seen signs that this is happening -- Virginia Governor in 2013 saw 2012 turnout levels for women, African-Americans, young people and Latinos. Last week, we saw high turnout by African-Americans for Thad Cochran, a Republican, primarily because the other Republican, McDaniel, was just a half step away from the Klan.
Hobby Lobby is McDaniel nationally --it's Bobby Jindal, Todd Akin, Richard Murdock and everyone who voted against the Violence Against Women and Equal Pay Acts. It's the sequel to clinic buffer zone elimination. It's a Judicial Handmaid's Tale. It's Cuchinelli, Brownback and Fox News. It's Limbaugh, Steyn and every other braying demagogue.
