Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
I'll let the team leaders give you specifics in the reports, but two of our raiding teams are looking for some DPS.
Here's Tvath with the Team Z report:
Our big (sad) news this week is the departure of our beloved kitty druid Ettocrut. It's to be expected -- she just graduated from high school and there is a lot going on for her, leaving less time for the game. We miss her and wish her all the best, and we know that she'll think of us whenever she hears someone use the unofficial team motto, "That's what SHE said."
As I posted on the guild Web site, we'll be bringing in another damage-dealer to the team. The good news is that there are several good players available! Jantuk and I are probably going to have to be elitist jerks and choose the person most likely to help us get past Garrosh. Since Team RP is also looking to replace a player, this involves a certain amount of discussion amongst the team leaders, and what I have enjoyed most about that is the helpful and supportive attitude of all the people I'm working with.
We're taking this weekend off for events of national significance (Crakzert, for example, is going to the Calgary Stampede).

Farewell, Ettocrut. We'll all miss you.
Next is the Flexorama and Team Kaels report from Ninotchka:
The flex-o-rama team stomped Garrosh again this week. We had had light attendance for the last couple weeks, so it was good to have a full raid again. And what a team we had! It was like doing previous-tier content, all the creature health bars seemed to melt away while all of our team health bars were reassuringly solid. Great dps, great healing, great run.
Team Kaels had a solid week, although I have no new boss kills to report. We killed all our farm bosses with little effort, and we managed to down Iron Juggernaut for the second time with three healers and without the hide-in-the-corner strategy. Last week we attempted the Dark Shaman fight and made some progress on it but we were still dying horribly around the 40% mark. Over last weekend some of our teammates were part of a PUG of heroic Nazgrim and they wanted to try that encounter with our team. So we killed Shamans on normal and then went to try Nazgrim on heroic. What a messy encounter! I’m pretty sure I’m not tanking this encounter properly. The timing never seemed to be working out right for me to properly deal with the adds before I had to go taunt the boss again, people were dying everywhere, spinny blades of death, it was horrible. We managed to get him to around the 50% mark a few times, but we clearly have more work to do on this fight. We’ve gone through all the stances, but as anyone who has done this fight knows it’s the last 10% that’s the real challenge and we’re nowhere near that milestone.

Here's the Team RP report from Pamena:
Team RP report:
We didn't have our full team last Thursday so we couldn't try heroic Immersius, turning this raid lockout period into a farming run. Actually, we needed to do that to help Voban gear up his healing druid spec so that he can be our third healer with the fabulous green druid healy circles when necessary. We are hoping to try heroic Immersius tonight (Thursday) if we can get the right group together. We are still looking for a dps to fill out our 10th spot, as is Team Z, to try some heroics, but we may end up pulling in someone on an ad hoc basis from Team Z, if they'd like to come, once they're on a Garrosh lockout (although I think they'll get him fairly quickly once they're all geared up), just to keep trying heroics. If we get Immer down tonight or Monday, we'll hit up Norushen heroic again.

And finally, the Saturday Night Massacre report from Pamena:
Saturday Night Massacre report:
Parsifale put the SNM together this past week, and we decided to continue the flex run that most of us had been in the previous Tuesday, starting with Iron Juggernaut. Carune was tanking on his bear Gromn, and was most patient with my fumbles tanking on Parsifale. We had a couple of wipes on IJ, one completely my fault for not standing in the right place to drop stacks, but we got him, and then moved on to Dark Shaman. At Brumal and Tony's suggestion, we tried the 3 tank strategy (I can't remember how many people we had, maybe 14 or 15?) and boy was that simpler than the normal mode with 2 tanks. We finished on Nazgrim, and a good time was had by all. Thanks everyone for putting up with the tank who still has training wheels on - I'm slowly getting the hang of it with your help!

That's all I have this week.
For the Horde!
