Just when you think the Mississippi Senate race can't get any crazier, it does. It might be hard to top Thad Cochran's insane press conference on the crazy scale, but his never-say-die opponent Chris McDaniel is giving it his best effort.
McDaniel, of course, is still trying to prove that Cochran stole the election by voter fraud (translation; black people voting). So what's his latest ploy? Some incentives:
Mississippi State Sen. Chris McDaniel's (R) campaign announced Thursday that they are offering 15 rewards of $1,000 each for people who can bring evidence that leads to the arrest and conviction of people involved in voter fraud in the Mississippi Republican runoff for U.S. Senate between McDaniel and Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS), who won the runoff.
Well, at least we know where he's
getting his inspiration from.
And what is the name of this new effort?
McDaniel's Senate campaign announced the reward in an email as part of his newly launched "Election Integrity Challenge and Voter Fraud Reward."
Subtle, Chris. Merely one step above, "Keep Those Blasted Darkies From Voting!"
It's four months until Election Day. There's no telling how crazy this race can get. Stay tuned and keep the popcorn handy, folks.
