TYT Detroit Army, Wolf Pac Michigan supporters, friends of The David Pakman Show, and fans of the Best of the Left Podcast: join us for an epic joint meetup event during the Netroots Nation conference!

As many of you know, the 9th Netroots Nation conference will be held at Cobo Hall July 17-20 of this year. We'll meet at The Anchor Bar on the 17th, the Thursday night of the conference. The Anchor Bar, which you’ll find on Fort Street in the Mercier building, is well known in Detroit for welcoming and supporting progressive causes. Owner Vaughn and the rest of the Anchor staff are happy to have our merry little band for this exciting event.

I expect the TYT Army will make a strong showing as we welcome new local friends, as well as our special guests from afar!  And for those coming down to Anchor for the first time: you’ll find lots of parking available, either on the street in front of / near the bar, or in adjacent lots. And for anyone attending Netroots Nation, the Anchor Bar is a block north of Cobo Hall on Fort Street.

Please visit the Facebook or Google+ event page where you can invite friends and RSVP.  Hope to see you there!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
