"Outside voices"
Oh, says Fox News.
Oh, however could this have happened.
On the July 10 edition of Fox News' Special Report with Bret Baier, Fox correspondent Mike Emanuel reported that "some prominent outside conservative voices have called for President Obama to be impeached" [...]
While an on-screen image showed that Fox contributors Sarah Palin and Allen West were those "outside conservative voices" calling for impeachment, Emanuel dodged the uncomfortable truth that [those particular gawdawful] Fox contributors have been leading the impeachment that he reported on.
First off, the definition of "outsider" is stretched indeed, in you're putting Sarah Palin and Allen West in those ranks. Outsiders do not generally tour the country collecting fat checks for what we will generously call speechifyin'. Outsiders are not generally handed Fox News contracts, either, with similarly steep stipends so that the world may continue to be exposed to their latest obsessions and badly presented talking points. Golly, how
does all this impeachment talk keep mysteriously getting air time? It is a mystery. A very, very
profitable mystery.
Then there's Megyn Kelly, distancing herself all professional-like from the remarks of conservatism's foremost self-taught pornography expert.
"This is an anti-Israel administration. It's the first administration in American history that is obviously anti-Israel," Shapiro said. "It's borderline a Jew-hating administration."
"Wow," Kelly said. "That's strong."
And Kelly
took to Twitter to make sure everybody was aware of her vague displeasure with the statement. It is so surprising that a guest used the Fox News cablewaves to espouse the notion that this White House was a "Jew-hating administration"—or at least it would have been, had the very column that presumably got Ben PornoBoy booked on Megyn Kelly's show to talk about Israel not been titled "
The Jew-Hating Obama Administration". But it was, so the part where Megyn Kelly acts all shocked that the nice conservative fellow that they booked repeated his basic whackjob conspiracy premise on the air seems a bit stretched.
Yes, how do these things keep getting blasted into the wider public consciousness from movement "outsiders." It is a goddamn mystery.
