UPDATE
I want to thank everyone for sticking with me on this. Pretty much as expected, Russia, the Rebels and Ukraine have all blamed each other for what happened. There are no reports of survivors, and the descriptions of the scene are gory and disturbing. This is going to set off a series of events that could probably be predicted by someone smarter than me.
I need to get back to work, so I will no longer be updating this diary minute by minute. If I see something huge, I'll add it. Please feel free to continue the discussion here or on the front page diary.
Thank you.
(CNN) -- A Malaysia Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur has crashed in eastern Ukraine, Russian news agency Interfax reported Thursday.
The jet is a Boeing 777, according to Interfax.
The plane reportedly went down near the border between Russia and Ukraine.
There are rumors of it being shot down. I'm sure both Ukraine and Russia will try to play the "I didn't do it, but the might have" game.
So far no reports of any survivors or images to pass along.
