I have gone past caring whoever is behind the latest butchery, all I care about is the result. I couldn't care less about the reasons why, as they are alien to me. I am sick and tired of tiny minorities grasping at power and influence whilst causing the suffering of many.

I'm tired of nationality, race, and religion as being somehow defining as they are mere constructs designed to wield power. I'm fatigued by their use in propaganda and the fanning of hate.

I have gone past weeping and the senseless carnage caused, well past anger and into the cool calm waters of absolute rage at the ineffable stupidity of it all. I spit upon the small mindedness of the reasoning. An endless cycle of viciousness over a carefully constructed fallacy of being.

Without the rage it is easy to stop caring. I remember the call for revenge and the abuse of power that followed, more death, destruction and torture guaranteed, only to be confronted with hollow excuses for their justification.

We are desensitized by the repetition, some even nod sagely that the reasoning has merit on some existential plane, all I see is carnage and inhumanity [whatever that means].

Tiny differences in who we are, picked over and abused by vultures for their own gain, why do they matter? What is nationality, race, religion or even gender and why the hell do we let them play a tune on our baser instincts?

I am beyond words, I'm beyond anger, I pray for change with little hope.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
