Another case of Republicans running their mouth, refusing to back up their statements, and blaming "liberal shills" for "trying to destroy them". In other words, same shit, different day.
Louisiana State Rep. Lenar Whitney, who is running for Louisiana's open sixth district, made remarks in June via video that "global warming is a hoax". (video here: http://www.youtube.com/...). She has also tip-toed around whether President Obama was born in the US.
So, David Wasserman, the House editor at the Cook Political Report, attempted to interview her and get her take on these subjects. Notice, I said "attempted". Upon asking her about her climate change remarks, she was unable to answer his questions. So, he then tried to ask about her position on Obama's birthplace. Her aides ended the interview, and accused him of conducting a 'Palin-style interview'".
As Wasserman said, "It’s not unreasonable to expect candidates to explain how they arrived at their positions, and when I pressed Whitney repeatedly for the source of her claim that the earth is getting colder, she froze and was unable to cite a single scientist, journal, or news source to back up her beliefs".
Frankly, if you're running for office, and make any kind of claim about.....anything.....be prepared to back it up.

After the interview, she took to Facebook. And of course, rather than say "You know, I wasn't prepared to answer questions about those topics", she instead replied with this: "It was obvious, from the onset of the interview, that Wasserman had planned to jump me simply because I am a Conservative Woman and liberal shills like Dave Wasserman want to destroy us"
Once again, Republicans refusing to accept personal responsibility for their actions.
