Why do Democrats keep talking about this?
Oh noes. How can Democrats be
so mean to Republicans.
Congressional Democrats have talked about the impeachment of President Obama 20 times more than Republicans have on the House and Senate floors.
Since the start of the 113th Congress last year, Democrats have used the word “impeach” or “impeachment” regarding Obama 86 times, according to a review of the Congressional Record by The Hill. [...]
The figures highlight how impeachment has been a hot topic for Democrats, and one most Republicans want to avoid.
Wow, a word gets used 86 times during an entire Congress—that's a hot topic, it is. A veritable tidal wave. Why oh why can't Democrats leave Republican talk of impeachment where it belongs—in Republican statements to their constituents, and in frothy op-ed pieces by past Republican vice presidential candidates, and in radio show grumbling? All this
mentioning it on the floor of the House is truly the height of rude.
Luckily, Republicans have not stumbled upon the sure-fire way to stop making impeachment talk an election-year windfall for Democrats, which would be to stop their members from telling constituents that impeachment should happen or might happen or really ought to happen but can't because mumble-mumble. We must keep this information from them, lest they stop saying obviously stupid things in public about impeaching the president for being president.
