I love Elizabeth Warren OK, I said it, I think this lady is the future of America!
But enough of that, I just read this today in the virtual newspapers regarding President Bush's current engagement in Iraq:
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), a leading voice in the party's liberal wing, said in a statement: "I remain concerned about possible unintended consequences of intervention. We must not get bogged down in another war in the Middle East."
I agree. This should be something the UN and NATO deals with, the whole international community, and not just America always dressing up, looking in the mirror, puffing out it's lips, and taking on the role of:
"The World's Policeman"
(update) Lawmakers weigh US role against Islamic fighters (Bloomberg, 1hr ago..)
Lindsey Graham and Diane Feinstein weigh in on Iraq:
"They are coming here," Graham later added about the militants. "This is just not about Baghdad. This is just not about Syria. It is about our homeland."
Graham added that if Islamic State militants attack the United States because Obama "has no strategy to protect us, he will have committed a blunder for the ages."
The chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, D-Calif., also said the militants pose a threat "in our backyard" and was recruiting westerners.
"Inaction is no longer an option," she said in a statement as airstrikes were underway.
Rep. Peter King had this to say:
Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., said popular opinion should not drive national security decisions.
"I am saying we should do whatever we have to do," King said.
So yeah, im gonna take a poll about this:
