I'm watching the coverage of Ferguson on MSNBC, and I'm stunned. There isn't a single white person with 50 miles to drive there and support the good cause of the people in Ferguson? Why is this?
Have we (white folks) been completely brain-washed by MSM, which is telling us that there are riots and looting and scary things happening. Are we comfortable sitting back because this is a 'black' issue... because another black teenager was murdered? Or have we simply forgotten why this entire event started in the first place because the lurid images on the news is more exciting? I'm disgusted.
This isn't just a black issue ... this is a serious social issue that effects all of us. If we sit back and allow this systemic racism to continue ... we're just at fault as the idiot sheriff in Ferguson.
In the 60s we joined as one people. It's time to overcome racial divisions, fear and apathy to join hands again again.
Kudos to the brave people of Ferguson demanding action!
