Whether a Daily Kos registered user or a casual reader, you are welcome to join us this Sunday. Not being centered on a specific event or topic, this will be a chance to meet other like-minded people and give us the opportunity to decide how we want to use our group.
I know many are as upset as I am by what is happening in Ferguson and no doubt there will be discussion of this appalling event, but we have an election in just a couple months. Ferguson is just one of many examples of why we must continue to push our country and party in a more progressive direction.
Although my family resides just outside of San Jose, its policies affect the whole South Bay area. Much of my work is in San Jose, as well shopping, dining and other services. A mayor and city council that would reverse Mayor Reed’s conservative policies would be a win for the entire South Bay.
At the congressional level, Zoe Lofgren and Anna Eshoo both should be easily reelected. But the in the 17th we have a battle between Congressional Progressive Caucus member Mike Honda and the tech industry (and Tea Party?) backed, Ro Khanna. The Honda campaign is sending a couple staffers to discuss with us ways we might be able to help.
And just to reiterate, all are welcome and the discussion is open. If you would like to join us, leave a comment or send me a KosMail. If not a registered user, sign up here! It’s free! Or just show up, I’ll set aside a couple seats just in case.
