Today the Ferguson, MO Police Chief finally gave the name of the police officer who killed Michael Brown. During that press conference, the Chief seemingly justified young Michael's execution style killing because he was a suspect in a strong-armed robbery earlier that day.
The Ferguson Police Chief stated very clearly during his press conference today that the officer had no idea Michael was a suspect in any crime when he encountered him on the street that day. The Ferguson Police Chief further stated very clearly that the officer stopped the 2 boys merely for walking in the middle of the street.
So the robbery had nothing to do with the stop. Period.
Michael Brown did not deserve to be shot in cold blood. He was, injured, unarmed and surrendering to this officer. He was on his knees with his hands in the air. Whether the officer knew Michael was a suspect in a robbery is irrelevant.
