I'd heard that he was planning to go.
The thought amused.
The Atlantic's take on Burning Man
I've only been once, in 2000, (Key-rist, it that really 14 years ago?), and it was 'only' 28K people strong that year.
Incredible art. Very cool people. Wonderful experience, (but I'd spent a lot of time camping over the years, that part wasn't the shock it is for many). I was hooked, but mundane considerations have kept me from going again. ::sigh::
It was more than double that this year, estimates run to over 65K Burners on the Playa.
And Grover Norquist decided to check it out.
I was actually looking forward to hearing about it. If any place/time is going to get somebody's attention and give them something to think about, it's the Playa right before Labor Day.
