When it comes to financial support from the Senate GOP's campaign committee, It's the
end of the line for Terri Lynn Land, who has consistently trailed Democratic Rep. Gary Peters in Michigan's U.S. Senate contest:
The National Republican Senatorial Committee has cut the remaining television it had reserved in Michigan amid signs former Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land (R) is having trouble catching Rep. Gary Peters (D-Mich.).
This is obviously as bad news for Land as it is good for Gary Peters, but it also can't be a positive development for Michigan's GOP Gov. Rick Snyder, who would have gotten a boost from any additional GOP turnout on Land's behalf. Republicans in DC claimed the decision was made from a position of strength, arguing that "other outside allied groups have Michigan well covered," but if they were really bullish on Land, they wouldn't be withdrawing their resources from the state.
Let's put the boot on the GOP's neck and finish the job in Michigan's Senate race. Can you chip in $3 to elect Democrat Gary Peters?
