When someone participates on Daily Kos by making appropriate comments to diaries and other comments--and does nothing inappropriate -- yet because another participant does not want that person to participate (for his own personal reasons)--and actually convince others that they should not communicate with the other party (who of course never gets a chance to defend herself)--who is guilty of what? I submit that it is unfair and inappropriate to make personal comments about one person (when that person has not committed any offense) to other members of a group discussing issues --simply because one party has decided that another party's presence is personally offensive and that s/he should not have the right to participate in the conversation. It's petty and undeserved, and its scapegoating--it's hurtful and it's an awful way for folks on this site (especially those who claim to be inclusive--who are striving to make this world a better place) to behave. After all, we are here to discuss ideas, to learn, and promote causes--not banish someone based on a personal issue that has nothing to do with the conversations at hand. Promoting dialogue and sharing the best ideas with each other and the larger communities we are part of is what this should be about. Just saying. Thanks for letting me vent.
