Since entering the race for California’s congressional district 17, the Ro Khanna campaign has flooded the district with
despicable, malicious, and misleading attacks on Silicon Valley’s well-respected representative Mike Honda. The Honda campaign has quietly refuted the attacks through press releases.
Along with Khanna campaign’s exaggerated and discredited attacks you will find a common thread in their campaign, ageism; “old and unorthodox”, “old and tired”, “old-school liberal”, “from 1950’s and 1960’s.”
After Khanna sent out flyers attacking Honda as being too “liberal” for working to overturn the “Bush tax cuts”, Howard Dean and Democracy for America struck back with a scathing reply.
Now that Khanna is unable to garner the grassroots support he hoped and his
big-money donors have maxed out, his campaign
may not have the cash on hand to pay his staff through the election. But as reported on KGO-TV, “[Khanna] insists he has enough to remain competitive, thanks to a Super Pac funded in part by a Texas energy hedge fund billionaire.”
While Ro Khanna burned through his money, outspending Honda by more than 2 to 1 in the primary, Honda saved his for the end of the campaign. And now Honda has the money to pushback by airing his new ad on local TV.

Billionaires, right-wing activists, corporate interests: that's who's funding Ro Khanna's campaign. It's no wonder Khanna supports handing tax breaks to millionaires and companies that send our jobs overseas. Khanna's funders even helped cut off electricity in California, and backed privatizing Social Security, while Ro Khanna hasn't even ruled out cuts to the Social Security benefits we've earned. With Ro Khanna it's all about money, and never about us.
