I voted Monday, and the only non "race" on my ballot was the state one. NONE of my county-specific bond proposals were there! However, county races were listed. What the hell?
Here is the only proposal I was able to vote on:
Proposed Constitutional Amendment
"The constitutional amendment providing for the use and dedication of certain money transferred to the state highway fund to assist in the completion of transportation construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation projects, not to include toll roads."

My mother lives on the street directly behind my street, and was able to vote on the "Fort Bend ISD Bond Election" CORRECTION: "Lamar Consolidated ISD Bond Election" that I know of. I did not have time to ask about what others she was able to vote on.
I understand that I won't see everything being voted on within the county (like the city of Katy stuff - I don't live there), but I'm really confused!
We did not vote at the same location, but we are in the same precinct.
So, can someone help me understand this?
P.S. Why am I just bringing this up when I voted Monday? Because I just realized it today when I picked up a free newspaper that had candidates/races in it and saw the pro FBISD ad, and asked Mom about it but just as we began to talk about it, her truck was "ready" and she was excited so she bolted. All I got out of her was that she was pissed about the bond issue, but that it was on her ballot. (I'm guessing she voted no, lol.)
UPDATE: 10:25, 10/23/2014: Thanks to TDDVandy for helping me figure some of it out. Whether it's Ft Bend ISD or Lamar CISD, neither should've been on my ballot nor Mom's ballot. Still don't know why it was on hers, but at least I know I didn't miss out on anything!
