I gave money today. Money I do not have really. But I voted and gave. C'mon vote. Do it. Or I'll be disappointed. More after the break.
I live in Texas. Yeah, that's right. I still voted. I voted as liberal as I could. When there wasn't a Democrat I voted Green Party. Vote people. It's our only hope.
It was easy too. But I'm white and middle class so I have a photo ID. But have Democrat stamped on my voter registration card. And when that Republican election judge eyeballed me and asked me if I was still living at the address on my ID and voter registration card, I looked back and said, "You're damn right I do." Go vote. It's cathartic at least.
I voted for freaking Wendy Davis and the ultra hip Leticia Vandeputte (great name). They stood up to those wacky right wingers last session and deserve our support. They aren't perfect, but who is? Go vote damn't.
Go vote. Vote left wing. We could save the world if we just voted. Seriously.
My early voting place was at a library. Got a library card to boot while I was there. How socialistic of me. Nothing wrong with being socialistic either. Public schools, the post office, the military, NASA, etc. we do some pretty kick ass things socialistic wise. I don't apologize for it. And public schools get a bad wrap. So does the post office (actually I think they kick ass). And NASA, well what other entity has something traveling OUTSIDE the orbit of Pluto? Waiting.... Crickets.
So go vote. I got my old ass down to the polling place. You do it too. I love you by the way. And I want the best for you. (How liberal of me.)
