This is one of the main reasons I am for a mandatory quarantine. All of you who said that the nurse is an intelligent health care worker who would NEVER put the public at risk were wrong. The hubris is astounding.

And for those of you who say, "She's not sick, doesn't have ebola!!!" the truth is that we won't know until the 21 days are up. And if she gets ill while out and about, then she is contagious. I realize we are a nation of individualists, and I am too, but sometimes the few have to be inconvenienced for the many.
The governor of Maine instituted a 21 day at home quarantine, but this nurse will refuse to follow it. The selfishness is amazing and I think the publicity has gone to her head, because she doesn't sound like any health care worker I have ever met.
I am not going to debate my stupidity, my naivete, or any of the other ad hominem arguments people may bring up. She won't follow the quarantine, just as I feared.
One more question - why does the federal government feel it's prudent to quarantine soldiers who had NO contact at all with ill people, yet not prudent to quarantine a nurse who took care of sick people? The logic fails.
