OK : The Des Moines Register is giving Ernst a 7 point lead. No, I am not freaking out and this is not some kind of "troll" as some call it diary.
There is something else I find more confusing and if I am right , Ernst will be a one term register (assuming she is elected)
Iowa is presented as a rural farm state yet the reality is its not!

Basically: As areas become more urban, they tend to become more Democratic. Iowa appears to be trending this way I owa appears to be undergoing such a change ;
This is from the "Conservative " NEWSMAX
http://www.newsmax.com/...
Some areas, mostly rural, are seeing shrinking population while others, mostly urban, have population explosions. In some counties, schools are closing down while in others, new schools are being constructed at breakneck speed and school districts are hustling to hire Spanish-speaking teachers.
All of this information would indicate Ernst should be struggling and Braley should be doing well yet, the opposite is happenning!
We can all speculate as to why. I have been reading that Bruce Braley ran conducted a terrible campaign with his comments about Senator Grassley "alienated many voters Maybe, he , like Mark Udall of Colorado , did not anticipate a "real race" and were caught off guard.
There are "reports" that he "skipped a lot of Defense Meetings when he was a congressmen.
Not something you want to be associated with with constant reports about ISIL and growing reports of terrorism
Truth be told, I have never been to Iowa and so I have no first hand experience. Assuming the "rural to urban" changes are happening and will continue to happen, I don't see how "castrating a pig" mantra will go over. Are there any folks from Iowa who have first hand information and experience as to what is going on?
