We need to take back the House - and we need to do it as soon as we can.
It’s essential that we elect responsible Democrats who can return Congress to the productive, constructive legislative body we all know it can be.
In my district in Sacramento, I’ve worked tirelessly to create high paying jobs, make college affordable, and keep the Internet free and open. I know the importance of continuing to ensure that women receive equal pay for equal work. These are the kinds of solutions we need in Washington, and why I’m running for re-election tomorrow.
Above all, members of Congress should bring necessary and important accomplishments back to their district. Sacramento is my home. I want it to remain a great place to live and raise a family. That’s why I worked to enact historic flood protection that improved our levees and made flood protection insurance affordable for all our residents. I am a fierce champion for our nation’s flood priorities, securing hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding and policy changes that will help protect Sacramento for years to come. The policies enacted today will shape the future of tomorrow, and I’m proud to play my part in it.
It’s for these reasons that the California Democrats have endorsed my campaign. This election is essential to the future of the Democratic Party and the country as a whole. Join me in standing up for what’s right for America. For more information on what I’ve done in Congress and what I will continue to do, visit my website and sign up for email updates.
Together, we can keep working to make our communities stronger. With your help, we can assist my colleagues and partners in competitive districts across the country and get Congress running again.
